Crisis Notice
Your Backup Human is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are experiencing a mental health or suicide-related crisis in the United States, call or text 988.
Immediate termination, no refund
Sexual requests, harassment, threats, weapons, intoxication, illegal activity, or any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session — without a refund.
The boundaries, in plain words
- 1Services are for adults age 18 and older.
- 2All interactions are professional, platonic, nonsexual, and non-romantic.
- 3This is not dating, escorting, therapy, counseling, coaching, medical care, personal care, transportation, childcare, crisis intervention, or emergency assistance.
- 4The service provider does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, manage medication, provide legal advice, lend money, perform physical labor, enter unsafe environments, or participate in illegal activity.
- 5Initial in-person meetings must occur in approved public locations.
- 6An in-person request may be declined at the service provider's discretion.
- 7The companion may end any session immediately if she feels unsafe or if the client violates the agreement.
- 8Clients must arrange their own transportation.
- 9No undisclosed guests may attend an in-person booking.
- 10Sessions begin and end at the reserved times.
- 11Contact outside scheduled sessions is limited to legitimate scheduling and service communication.
